Two members of the Borris Lacemakers group from Carlow have exhibited their Lace in the European Parliament in Strasbourg last week. Margaret Byrne and Betty Thompson, both from Carlow, took part in an exhibition that showcased speciality crafts from five different EU countries during a plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
Lawmakers, journalists, diplomats from across Europe met with the Borris Lacemakers during the exhibition.
The trip was organised and facilitated by Carlow MEP Cynthia Ní Mhurchú.
